Ramp is a finance platform that combines corporate cards, expense management, bill pay, procurement, travel booking, and treasury in one system, with a stated mission of helping companies spend less rather than more. It issues physical and virtual charge cards with granular controls and automatically collects and categorizes receipts, matches transactions, and closes expense reports, removing much of the manual work of month-end close. Its bill pay and accounts payable tools handle vendor invoices, approvals, and payments, and its procurement workflow routes purchase requests and tracks commitments. Ramp has leaned heavily into AI, shipping agents for controllers and accountants that reconcile transactions, flag policy violations before they happen, surface savings opportunities like duplicate subscriptions and better vendor pricing, and provide citations for their work. The platform integrates with major accounting systems and HR tools. Ramp makes money primarily from interchange on card spend, which lets it offer the core platform with no per-seat software fee, alongside paid add-ons and a higher tier. It grew rapidly, passing a billion dollars in annualized revenue in 2025, and is used by tens of thousands of businesses from startups to large enterprises. Following a recent acquisition, Ramp continues to operate as an independent product.
