Normative is carbon accounting software that automates the calculation of a company's greenhouse gas emissions across its own operations and supply chain, aimed at businesses that need to start measuring their climate footprint without hiring a dedicated team of sustainability data analysts to do it manually. The platform connects to financial and operational data a company already has, such as accounting records and utility bills, and automatically calculates emissions using built-in emissions factor databases, which removes much of the specialized carbon accounting expertise that would otherwise be required to translate raw spend and activity data into an accurate emissions figure.
