Persefoni

Persefoni is a software platform for carbon accounting and climate disclosure, used by companies and financial institutions to measure, manage, and report greenhouse gas emissions. It ingests activity data such as energy use, spending, travel, and supply-chain information, applies emissions factors, and calculates a full Scope 1, 2, and 3 footprint aligned with the GHG Protocol, then helps organizations model reduction scenarios and produce disclosures that meet frameworks like TCFD, the CSRD, and the SEC's climate rules. For asset managers and banks, Persefoni also calculates financed emissions across portfolios using the PCAF methodology. The platform emphasizes auditability, keeping a traceable record of data sources, assumptions, and calculations so results can withstand assurance and regulatory scrutiny, and it includes controls, approval workflows, and a copilot built on a climate-specific language model that answers technical carbon accounting questions. Persefoni raised additional funding in 2025 to expand into product-level footprinting, utility bill management, and physical risk modeling. It is aimed at mid-sized and large enterprises and financial firms that need defensible numbers for mandatory and voluntary reporting rather than rough estimates.
