Maze is a rapid user testing and product research platform that lets product, design, and UX teams run usability tests, surveys, and prototype feedback studies quickly, without the multi-week setup and recruitment process traditional in-person usability research typically requires. Teams can upload a prototype from tools like Figma, or test a live website or app directly, and Maze's testing tools let participants complete specific tasks while the platform automatically captures metrics like completion rate, time on task, and where users click or tap, giving quantitative usability data at a scale that would be very difficult to gather manually through one-on-one moderated sessions alone. Maze's participant panel lets teams recruit test participants who match specific demographic or professional criteria if they don't have direct access to enough of their own real users to test with, which speeds up research for teams that would otherwise spend significant time on participant recruitment before a study can even begin. Its results dashboards automatically visualize where users struggled in a given task flow, such as a specific step in a prototype where most participants clicked the wrong element, helping design teams identify usability problems with concrete data rather than relying purely on subjective observation from a handful of unstructured user interviews. Maze is aimed at product and design teams who want to validate design decisions with real user data quickly and repeatedly throughout a product's development, rather than treating user research as a rare, heavyweight event.
