I built HalfBuilt because finding good web development clients was always the part I found most annoying. I wanted to make the process of finding businesses, figuring out what they actually need, and reaching out to them a bit less painful. It's still early, so I'm mainly looking for real users and honest feedback. If something doesn't make sense or sucks, I'd rather hear that than get fake praise.
HalfBuilt helps freelance web developers and small agencies find businesses that could be potential clients. It finds businesses, analyses their websites, identifies things that could be improved, and uses that information to help create more personalised outreach.
It also generates a custom prompt based on the business, so developers can quickly create a prototype tailored to that potential client instead of sending them a generic pitch.
The goal isn't to spam hundreds of businesses with the same message. It's about finding better prospects and giving you something specific to talk about when you reach out.
HalfBuilt is mainly built for freelance web developers, web designers, and small agencies that are actively looking for clients. It's especially useful for developers who don't have a steady stream of inbound leads and want a faster way to find potential clients themselves.
HalfBuilt is a solo-built project using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, Google APIs, and Vercel. I used Claude Code heavily throughout development for implementation and debugging, while handling the product direction, architecture, and overall decisions myself.
