Stessa is a financial tracking and management tool for individual rental property investors, built to give small landlords the kind of automated bookkeeping and performance visibility that larger operators have. An owner adds their properties, links their bank, mortgage, and property-management accounts, and Stessa automatically imports and categorizes transactions using machine learning into real-estate-specific categories, then produces dashboards for income, expenses, net cash flow, and portfolio value, along with per-property performance metrics and tax-ready reports and export packages. It also offers online rent collection, a mobile app with receipt scanning, document storage, market rent estimates, and a cash-management account with a competitive yield. Stessa was owned by Roofstock, and in 2025 Roofstock merged into Stessa, bringing the single-family rental marketplace and its property and neighborhood rating data under the Stessa brand. More than two hundred thousand investors use Stessa to track over a million units worth well above a hundred billion dollars. The core product is free, supported by financial-services revenue and referrals, with an optional paid Stessa Pro subscription that adds advanced reporting, unlimited receipt scanning, collaboration tools, and other automation. Stessa also offers loan and refinancing referrals, a landlord insurance marketplace, and integrations that pull in data from third-party property management tools.
