Crowdin is a cloud localization platform that manages the translation of software, apps, games, websites, documentation, and other content on an ongoing basis. Source strings are pushed to Crowdin automatically through integrations with code repositories, design tools, content management systems, and build pipelines, and translators, whether an internal team, community volunteers, or a translation agency, work in an online editor that shows context, screenshots, translation memory matches, glossary terms, and machine translation suggestions. As developers add or change strings, the new content flows in and completed translations flow back out without a manual handoff, which is what makes it continuous localization. Crowdin includes workflow steps for translation, proofreading, and review, quality-assurance checks, task management, reporting, and a vendor marketplace, and it has invested heavily in AI, letting teams choose an AI engine for pre-translation, build multi-step AI pipelines with context analysis and glossary checks to improve quality, and use tools for evaluating context and even dubbing. It is used by a wide range of open-source projects and companies. Crowdin offers a free plan for open-source and small projects, and paid plans priced by the number of hosted strings and seats, plus an enterprise offering.
