Copper is a CRM built specifically to live inside Gmail and the broader Google Workspace, aimed at teams that already run their business communication and scheduling through Google's tools and don't want a CRM that requires constantly switching between two separate applications. Copper's Gmail integration surfaces relevant CRM context directly inside a user's inbox, letting a rep see deal stage, contact history, and notes right next to an email thread, and log a new email interaction to a CRM record without leaving Gmail at all. Contacts and companies are automatically populated from a user's existing Google Contacts and email history, which significantly cuts down the manual data entry that usually accompanies rolling out a new CRM to a sales team. Pipeline views let teams track deals through customizable stages, and automation rules can update fields, assign tasks, or send notifications as a deal moves through the pipeline, similar to more complex CRMs but with a notably simpler setup process. Copper also integrates with Google Calendar and Google Drive, so meeting notes and shared documents tied to a deal live in the same place a rep is already working. It's aimed at small and mid-sized businesses, agencies, and professional services firms that want a CRM that feels like a natural extension of Gmail rather than a separate system reps have to remember to update.
