## About Zapier

Zapier is a web automation platform that lets people connect the applications they use and automate repetitive work without writing code. A user builds a Zap by choosing a trigger event in one app, such as a new form submission or email, and one or more actions in other apps, such as creating a spreadsheet row, sending a Slack message, or adding a CRM contact. With integrations to several thousand apps, Zapier covers a very wide range of tools that individual SaaS products rarely integrate with each other directly, which made it a default connective layer for small businesses, marketers, and operations teams. Over time Zapier added multi-step workflows, filters, formatting, branching paths, delays, webhooks, and code steps for more complex logic, plus Tables and Interfaces so simple databases and front ends can live alongside automations. In 2025 the company pushed further into AI, launching Zapier Agents that combine large language models with its integration library so users can describe an outcome and have an agent take actions across their stack, handling exceptions rather than following a fixed path. Zapier is a private company founded in 2011, and it offers a free tier with paid plans that scale by task volume and features.
