Overview
ServerOS is a control panel that works on any Linux VPS you already own. A lightweight Rust daemon is installed with a single curl command, connects securely to ServerOS, scans what services are running, and lets you manage them—from deployment to backup—without changing your provider or billing.
Key Features & Capabilities
- Scan an existing VPS and auto‑detect sites, databases, workers and containers.
- Adopt discovered services without restarting or rewriting configs.
- Deploy applications from Git or one‑click templates with HTTPS.
- Backup services to S3‑compatible or SFTP storage and restore with a click.
- Monitor sites, ports, logs, and receive alerts via email or webhook.
- Create status pages, workflows (automations), team roles, and an activity log.
- Connect AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor) to the workspace.
Who It’s For
Small engineering teams and solo developers who run one or more VPS instances and need a simple, secure way to: oversee all running services, deploy code, back up data, and monitor uptime—all within a single, familiar panel.
How It Works
- Run the installation script on the VPS.
- The daemon sends an immutable key‑pair to ServerOS over mutual TLS—no inbound ports are opened.
- ServerOS performs a read‑only scan; you approve which services to adopt.
- Once connected, you can deploy, back up, monitor, and secure services straight from the panel.
