Notion is a workspace app that combines documents, wikis, databases, and project management into a single flexible system built from modular blocks. Users create pages that can contain text, to-dos, tables, boards, calendars, and embedded content, and turn any collection into a database with custom properties, filtered views, and relations, which lets teams run notes, knowledge bases, roadmaps, CRMs, and content calendars in one place instead of separate tools. Notion has expanded well beyond its editor, adding a calendar app, an email client, enterprise search that indexes connected tools like Slack and Google Drive, forms, and charts. Its biggest recent push is AI: in 2025 Notion launched agents that live in a workspace, read its content and connected apps, and carry out multi-step tasks over ten to twenty minutes, such as researching a topic and drafting a structured document, using models from leading AI labs. Notion is used by individuals and by a large majority of its revenue comes from teams, and the company passed five hundred million dollars in annualized revenue at a valuation around eleven billion dollars. It offers a free plan for personal use, with paid per-seat plans for teams and businesses and additional pricing for AI.
