Built because we wanted a yes/no moment before an agent runs something we cannot take back.
Coding agents move fast, and some of what they do is hard to undo: a destructive shell command, a read of your .env, a surprise package install, an MCP tool call you didn't expect.
HOL Guard runs on your own computer alongside Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Those actions stop and wait; you look at what the agent wants and approve or block it.
Get started:
pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init
What it isn't: a gateway, a network firewall, or a full fix for prompt injection, and a scan is not a safety guarantee.
