## About Documenso

Documenso is an open-source electronic signature platform positioned as a transparent alternative to proprietary tools like DocuSign. Users upload a document, place signature, initial, date, and text fields, assign them to one or more recipients, and send it out for signing, with a signing experience that works in the browser and produces a completed, cryptographically sealed PDF plus a full audit trail of who signed what and when.
