Blues' pricing model bundles a device's cellular data plan into the cost of the hardware itself, avoiding the recurring per-device carrier billing relationships that typically make deploying IoT devices at scale an ongoing operational headache for a hardware company. Because the Notecard handles security, including encrypted communication, out of the box, hardware teams don't need deep cellular security expertise to avoid common IoT security pitfalls that have led to well-publicized device vulnerabilities in the industry.
