## About accessiBe

accessiBe is an automated web accessibility platform that uses AI to help website owners work toward WCAG 2.1 and ADA alignment without manually rebuilding their sites. Its core product, accessWidget, installs with a single line of JavaScript and does two things: it adds an on-page interface where visitors can adjust contrast, font size, spacing, cursor size, and animations or enable profiles tuned for screen-reader and keyboard-only use, and it runs an AI process that re-scans the DOM on a regular cycle to add ARIA attributes, fix form labels, infer alt text for images, and make navigation elements operable without a mouse. The company also offers accessScan for automated auditing, accessFlow as a developer-oriented remediation workspace, and manual auditing and litigation-support services for organizations that need human testing alongside the automated layer. accessiBe is aimed primarily at small and mid-sized businesses, agencies, and e-commerce stores that face real legal exposure under the ADA but do not employ a dedicated accessibility engineer. Overlay tools like this are heavily debated within the accessibility community, and in 2025 accessiBe agreed to a one million dollar FTC settlement over misleading claims that its automated tool could quickly make any website fully WCAG compliant. The company has since expanded its manual testing and monitoring offerings, and its low-friction installation has still made accessWidget one of the most widely deployed accessibility products on the web.
